Cristina Mena, LCMHC
Program Therapist
Cristina Mena is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with 14 years of experience in the mental health field. She worked in a variety of settings while residing in Florida, including crisis centers, treatment centers, child welfare agencies, schools, dependency drug court, and private & group practice. She completed her Bachelor's in Psychology at the University of Florida and continued on to obtain a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Florida Atlantic University.
Over the years, Cristina found a passion in working with trauma as well as perinatal and maternal mental health. There is a dear place in her heart for helping individuals and families who are transitioning into parenthood and who are adjusting to a "new normal". Cristina uses a multidisciplinary approach in her practice which include, but are not limited to, EMDR, Gottman Couples' Therapy, and relational therapy approaches. Cristina is also bilingual and provides therapy sessions in English and Spanish.
In her free time, Cristina enjoys spending fun quality time with her children and husband. She also loves long nature walks, latin dancing, and continuing to learn, research, and expand on her experiences.
